In 2005, MGM Mirage announced its intention to build Project City Center within Vegas, specifically within the Las Vegas Strip itself. When finished, the Project City Center will face the Monte Carlo Hotel and will be flanked by the still-being-constructed Cosmopolitan (construction was started on 2005 and expected to be finished by 2009) and the world-renowned Bellagio. The project is rumored to have a budget of around nine billion dollars and is slated to be finished also in late 2009.
Project City Center: A City within Las Vegas
The Project City Center will be a vast complex of several interlinked towers and buildings offering a varied range of amenities. At the heart of the Project City Center will be a casino (of course) and hotel accommodations. Flanking the main casino development will be high-rise buildings containing residential, shopping and entertainment facilities for all the guests and residents of the complex.
When finished, the Project City Center will be a complete city-resort that provides all the amenities that one can need and want in a Las Vegas vacation trip or a Las Vegas residence. Aside from the casino, there will be shopping malls and boutiques, swimming pools, rooftop gardens, theaters/cinemas, spas, condominium units, hotel rooms/suites, parking spaces, mini-parks, and landscaped walkways. You need never get out of the Project City Center resort if you don’t want to – you can find pretty much everything you need within the complex. Of course, if you have a preference for a WalGreens pharmacy and the developers of the Project City Center complex neglect to solicit one as a tenant, then you may have to go across to the WalGreens pharmacy that currently stands between the resort complex and the Monte Carlo Hotel; this particular drug store simply refused to move elsewhere when requested by the MGM Mirage management.
If, on the other hand, you have tired of the Project City Center’s brand of entertainment, it would be very easy to go and visit all the other Las Vegas attractions. After all, the Project City Center is conveniently located on the Las Vegas Strip – you won’t have to drive at all to get somewhere else.
A Piece of the Project City Center
Even now, you can get yourself one of the thousands of residential and condominium units in the Project City Center. Given its illustrious neighbors, its prime location and its wonderful prospects, the value of a piece of Project City Center property can only rise.
